homework solutions posted

Ah, an apology to my students. I posted homework solutions friday. Unfortunately I posted them as pdf files whereas my scripts are set to use word documents. My fault. I have posted the solutions as word documents and it should be working.

Dog sledding

I went mushing over the weekend near Hardware Ranch. I had a great time with my canine friends. Saturday I took Odin (formerly known as Bert) and Ydun. It was Yduns first time on a sled (and lead). They both did a great job. Ydun is so focused on the trail and pull great in the harness. I used a neckline to between them but it seemed to cause some "friction" between the two. Saturday I went without the neckline and they did great...no growling there. Melissa got me talked into bringing Skadi as well. I am glad I brought her. They all three did great and they pulled good all three. We practiced on-by a couple of times and it went smooth. Now I hope to bring Freja out next time. She will have such a blast!

Referee's reply

I got an e-mail back from Katja Gaenger today. She is on the editorial staff for Copernicus Publications. We submitted a paper regarding the MaCWAVE campaign a couple of months back. Today we got the reviews. Two reviews (both recommended it for publications) and one of them very minor comments which was an addition of a reference. That was great. The other review had some more comments regarding the ducted/evanescent nature of the wave. They are very helpfull comments which have helped clarify some propagation aspects for me. The plan is to get the paper edited within the next week and re-submit it.
This is my first posting on the new blog. It will replace my old "update" link on my webpage. I hope to keep it well posted with information for students, family, and friends.
